
Jane Hennedy has more than thirty years of experience in caring for and sharing local history. She studied Humanities at Providence College and American Studies/Historic Preservation at Boston University. Her career in Providence included working as an office manager for an architectural firm specializing in traditional buildings, tour guide, historic paint color analyst, site manager for a study center and museum at Brown University, and consultant for a literacy center. For twelve years, Jane was director of the Old Colony Historical Museum in Taunton, Massachusetts, then for two years she was director of Natick (Massachusetts) Historical Society. In 2016, Jane was employed as Site Manager, Southern Rhode Island for Historic New England at Casey Farm in Saunderstown and Watson Farm in Jamestown. Both are historic sites and sustainable working farms, where Jane plans and promotes tours and programs based on the spectacular seaside landscapes and agricultural heritage of the farms.
