Historic New England is delighted to announce that internationally acclaimed pianist Dr. Melvin Chen will perform Dvorak’s Piano Trio in E Minor, Op. 90 at the Historic New England Summit in celebration of the region’s longstanding history of arts festivals. Chen will be accompanied by Norfolk Chamber Music Festival fellows and Yale School of Music students Evan Johansen, violin, and Allen Liang, cello.
This special performance on stage at Mechanics Hall – internationally regarded as one of the world’s great concert halls – follows the lively panel discussion New England’s Tradition of Summer Festivals focusing on how New England’s arts festivals transcend the stage and bridge cultures, classes, and generations. Panelists include:
