Panelist | Climate Migration: The Next Great Cultural Shift
As North Regional Director for NOAA’s Office for Coastal Management, Betsy Nicholson works with her team extending from the Great Lakes through the North Atlantic to provide municipal, state, and regional partners with technology, information, and management strategies to address complex issues, such as community and ecosystem resilience to climate change. Nicholson started with NOAA in 2000. During her tenure in Washington, she served as the National Ocean Service liaison to the NOAA Administrator and as the NOAA policy advisor to the Secretary of Commerce. She received an MA in Coastal Environmental Management from Duke University and a BA from Williams College.
