Dean founded Historiq in 2025 to improve public access to primary source materials through AI and partnership with libraries, museums, and archives. He is an entrepreneur in residence at Waldron Civic Ventures.
Prior to starting Historiq, Dean served as Sr. Director of AI at Curriculum Associates and taught at the University of Massachusetts: Lowell Department of Economics. He holds an MS in Economics from Purdue University and a BS in Mathematics from The University of Massachusetts: Lowell
