Lynne is an award-winning Designer, Educator, and Healer. As a Rhode Island School of Design trained architect, she focuses on environmental sustainability and the psychological effect of the built environment. She consults on green designs for private clients and won the National Inspiration Award, the only design award for the design of the interior of Meeting Street School, the first LEED building in Rhode Island. After receiving her MDiv, from Andover Newton Theological School, she served congregations in Massachusetts and RI and was the first Interfaith Chaplain at Mount Ida College. With a deep understanding of values-based education and the need for what is now called Social Emotional Learning, Lynne founded The Compass School in 1998, a K-8 Charter School in Rhode Island. The mother of two daughters, she lost her only sister to violent death. A long time equestrian, this experience prompted Lynne to extend her pastoral counseling to work with horses. Lynne spent 8 years developing Integrative Equine Therapy (IET) and is currently the Executive Director of Beachwood Integrative Equine Therapy, a 501c3. Beachwood provides IET services and training with centers in Rhode Island, Florida, and Pennsylvania. Lynne is also the CEO of Inspirited Living LLC, with a mission to inspire, uplift, and support those who want to connect, find meaning, and make a difference in the world. In addition to leading executive retreats, Lynne is a motivational speaker with a message of discovering one’s life purpose by shifting perspective, reducing stress, and recognizing the gifts life offers.
