Rob Waldron is Chairman of Curriculum Associates, a Boston-area edtech company supporting learning gains for over 14 million students and their educators nationwide. Before becoming Chairman, Rob led the company as CEO for 17 years. Under his leadership, the company grew from 100 to 2,600 staff, earned Glassdoor’s “Best Places to Work” award and was named “Top Place to Work” by The Boston Globe ten years in a row.
Prior to joining Curriculum Associates, Rob served as CEO of Jumpstart, and as CEO of the K12 tutoring division of Kaplan Education. Rob also served as an operating executive at investment firm Berkshire Partners.
Rob’s passion for mission-driven work has earned him recognition as a Fast Company Top 25 Social Entrepreneur, World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, EY Entrepreneur of the Year, and EdTech Digest’s CEO of the Year.
Rob is deeply passionate about U.S. history and civics education and serves on the boards of the Massachusetts Historical Society, the Boston Foundation, the newly-formed Adams Presidential Center, and Historiq, an AI-venture to support archivists. He was previously an Aspen Institute/Pahara Fellow and a fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School. Rob received a B.A. from Northwestern and an M.B.A. from Harvard
