Claudia Wu is an attorney and educator who has worked at the intersection of historic preservation, law, education and civics for over 35 years. She is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Center for Civic Engagement and Service in Newton, MA, a nonpartisan resource for high school students and faculty on civics, history and community engagement. She also consults on historic preservation, civics programming, and organizational priorities to institutions and government agencies. Formerly, Ms. Wu worked as an Associate in the Real Estate Department of Hale and Dorr, and later as Senior Legal Liaison in the Northeast Office of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. She is past Board Chair of Preservation Massachusetts and currently serves on a number of boards and committees including, The Massachusetts Civic Learning Coalition, Historic New England, Landmark Trust USA and the National Advisory Councils for The National Trust for Historic Preservation and Strawbery Banke Museum. Ms. Wu is a graduate of Wellesley College and holds a J.D. from the New York University School of Law.
